Day 24 - Christmas Eve!

It is the last day! Spread the holiday cheer!

1. {Tina} brought home table clothes from work to launder.

2. {Kyle} loaded up the machines with change for the kiddos.

3. {Virginia} donated money to a homeless person on the side of the street. 

4. {Kenzie} went to Chase bank and gave the tellers homemade caramel through the deposit drive thru machine. 

5. {Tina} left coins on the bubble machine for the kids to use.  


6. {Britto & Bret} received a a merry moment from a stranger. A lady gave them her free parking pass for parking downtown.

7. {Haylie} is getting good at buying people's Starbucks drinks behind her in line! :)

8. {Dylan} usually holds the doors for people, but stood and held it for 21 people today...his favorite number.

Day 21, 22 & 23

Our last weekend to spread holiday cheer...I am going to combine the weekend days since we are slowing down and it is becoming difficult for us to meet our quota. I know it is hard, but we are so close! Only a couple days left! Let's remember what the holidays are really about!

1.{Chelsea} gave money to a homeless man.

2. {Britto} made a giving tree donation!

3. {Christine} baked a batch of her famous "muddy buddies" as a treat for her daughter's office.

4. {Eva & Brian} invited someone to their home for Christmas so that person didn't have to spend the holidays alone.

5. {Eva} paid for a random person's drink at a local coffee shop.

6. {Eva} handed out candy canes to co-workers that looked like they needed a pick me up.

7. {Eva & Brian} tipped their server 50%

8. {Eva} made a donation to a local animal shelter.

9. {Eva} left a full punch card to a coffee shop at the drive-thru for the vehicle behind her to use.

10. {Anonymous} took hot chocolate to her child's care giver and told her how much she means to them.

11. {Anonymous} escorted his wife & sister shopping and was their driver for the day, taking care to drop them off and pick them up in front of every store so that they didn't have to get soaked in the rain.

12. {Christine} was kind to strangers. She smiled at everyone that she came into contact with. She held doors, chatted with store clerks, wished everyone a merry Christmas.

13. {Cat} made three donations to the giving tree.

14. {Eva} shared coupons with a stranger in line at the store.

15. {Rob & Kassi} donated their time wrapping gifts for the Toys for Tots organization.

16. {Anonymous} was at work when a homeless man walked in. She was kind and asked him if there was anything she could assist him with. He asked for a comb. (Not normally something that she'd have handy). But she went and found him one, gave it to him, and watched him as he combed his hair outside in the window enjoying it. GREAT moment!

17. {Tyson} took 9 dozen home made cookies to work and shared them with not just his department but all of the departments at his job.

18. {Anonymous} went out on his lunch break and brought holiday treats back for the office.

19. {Dylan} decided to carry his items and give up his shopping cart to a couple waiting for one. It was nice and dry too.

20. {Chelsea} donated a Barbie doll to the Koin local 6 toy drive.

21. {Nick} donated a Lego set for a five year old to the Koin local 6 toy drive.

22, {Chris} gave a scratch-it lottery ticket to every cashier he purchased from today.

23. {Jenna} delivered hot chocolate to her hardworking coworkers on a rainy day.

24. {Haylie} bought the person's drink behind them at the Starbucks drive-thru.

25. {Tina} made a donation to the Salvation Army. 

26. {Anonymous} went to have a holiday manicure and paid for the lady behind her getting her nails done.

27. {Greg} visited his old workplace and brought a dozen donuts to everyone.

Day 20

Oh my gosh...only a few days left! Let's get the momentum going again!

1. {Eva} donated 5 hot meals to the Portland Rescue Mission.

2. {Eva} made a donation to the NSPCA Dewey Animal Shelter where she rescued her pup Spartacus.

3. {Blair} bought scratch-it tickets for everybody in her apartment building and put them in her mailbox.

4. {Sam} gave a homeless, handicapped veteran some money to buy himself some lunch.

5.{Kayla} bought a homeless man hot chocolate from McDonalds and he told her stories of his family and made her smile.

6. {Chris} tipped a very nice, even in the cold and rain, gas attendant $5.

7. {Dylan} took his team baked holiday cookies at practice.

8. {Eva & Brian} tipped their server 50%.

9. {Eva} left candy canes on cars in her neighborhood.

10. {Christine} donated her time and baking skills to a child's charity fundraiser.

11. {Anonymous} surprised someone with a box of their favorite fudge when he heard they were having a bad day.

1. {Sierra} donated toys to CMD's toy drive.

2. {Ashley} contributed to the CMD toy drive too!

3. {Kenzie} printed out 50% off coupons and handed them out to people at Michael's.

4. {Megan} took ice cream to her local fire department to thank them for all they do.

5. {Sarah}brought in custom holiday treats for her coworkers!

Day 18

Happy moment making!

1.{Hannah} bought Glen a sweater and hat for Christmas. He lives outside a Carl's Jr. in LA and she sees him almost every day.

2. {Tina} helped an elderly lady in a wheel chair with her grocery shopping.

3. {Cheryl} donated hats and gowns to a junior college that supports single mothers graduating.

4. {Sam} donated towels and blankets to DoveLewis to help make animals warm and more comfortable.

5. {Chris} left a dollar in the vending machine for the next person as a surprise.

6. {Lori, Kim, Isabelle & Kim} all contributed to a children's book drive by donating.

7. {Cory} doubled her normal street roots donation and gave the vendors Starbucks tip.

8. {Daniel} surprised a co-worker with her favorite soup for lunch.

9. {Eva} made a donation to the Salvation Army.

10. {Lina} stayed off the clock and dedicated extra time to a client that needed it.

Day 17

Only eight days left! Lets do it!

1. {Eva} pulled trash cans in off the street for neighbors so they didn't have to brave the rain to do it themselves.

2. {Eva & Brian} made a donation to the giving tree.

3. {Rob} was having breakfast at a restaurant that did not have a wheelchair ramp when he noticed that a woman in a wheelchair was trying to get in. He went outside and carried her (and her chair) into the restaurant.

4. {Cat} noticed a homeless man outside of a Starbucks with a "will work for food" sign. She stopped and gave him cash to buy a hot meal.

5. {Christine} anonymously left a care package for a friend in need.

6. {Jimmy} was surpised by his fiancee with a Starbuck's drink at work, he turned around and gave it to a homeless woman that sits outside of his work place. Double Merry Moment!

1. {Eva} bought two Starbucks Protein Bistro Boxes for a homeless mother and her children.

2. {Jenna} donated to the Portland Christian Center Christmas concert.

3. {Britto} made Christmas goody bags for her after school kiddos.

4. {Chris & co.} anonymously bought a table dessert at a restaurant.

5. {Tina} made a contribution to the Oregon Food Bank and Portland Christian Center while at a Christmas concert.

1. {Jenna} helped the cashier take clothes off of hangers and bag her Christmas gifts so the line could move quicker.

2. {Cheryl} donated to the KGW toy drive.

3. {Kyle} gave his BOGO Starbucks drink to a security guard on duty.

4. {Karen} saved shoe boxes and other crafting supplies for a teacher who needed them for her class' project.

5. {Rob} was attending a youth group meeting and one of the kiddos that he works with was short on her dues. He gave her the money that she needed to be caught up.

1. {Jenna} had a full punch card for a free coffee and left it for the next person.

2. {Tina} donated to the Tree of Hope Animal Shelter. 

3. {Denise} bought lunch for a co-worker who didn't bring lunch to work and didn't have a vehicle to go get something.

4. {Karen} dropped off a great gift and coffee for a teacher.

5. {Rob} saw that someone on Craig's list needed an item for their wedding and were willing to pay for it. He happened to have what they needed and gave it to them for free.

1. {Ali} shared a valuable coupon with a co-worker that needed it.

2. {Anonymous} left notes on the back of a bathroom stall door to make the next person smile.

3. {Sierra} bought a homeless man a warm meal.

4.{Chris} had a late practice so he took the team some pumpkin bread.

5. {Cheryl} had a friend ask for a recipe, so she gave it to her but made the cake for her too!

Happy Holidays!

1. {Kyle} gave a lady his seat at Starbucks because she needed an outlet. For that, she gave him half of her cranberry bliss bar!

2. {Chris} gave a large tip to a cashier at a restaurant.

3. {Tina} cleaned and straightened the staff room at work today.

4. {Eva} shared See's lollypops with everyone that came into her office.

5. {Kaylee} made a Christmas wreath for her grandma's room and did her hair before lunch with her friends at the nursing home.

Happy Tuesday...spread those merry moments!

1. {Sam} helped her friend with a fundraiser that she is holding to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. 

2. {Meredith} donated to the human society!
3. {Chris & Cheryl} went to a "mom and pop" restaurant and noticed they didn't have any gift certificates for  customers to purchase, so the two of them made 25 custom certificates for the restaurant to use. Then, the bought one too!

4. {Eva} made a donation to the Salvation Army.

5. {Karen} typed out, printed, and delivered her grandmother's Christmas letters for her.

Day 10

We are in full swing...keep making people's day by making merry moments!

1. {Sierra} donated two bags of clothes to Goodwill.

2. {Dylan & Kenny} donated children's books to a local book drive.

3. {Sam} donated her holiday bonus to Make-A-Wish Foundation & ALS Association.

4. {Melissa} gave her babysitter a gift card and then she turned around and delivered a gift bag full of cookies to them! Double merry moment!

5. {Tina} delivered a surprise gift to a friend!

6. {Melissa} mailed a "A Very Gaffney Christmas v 3" and treats to a faraway friend.

7. {Cheryl} tipped a gas attendant for thoroughly cleaning her windows and being extra friendly.

8. {Lexi} tipped her waitress 100% tonight!

9. {Eva} wrote a letter to one of her high school teachers to thank him and to let him know that some of the lessons that he taught her in class were not just homework assignments completed, but tools that she uses daily to get through life.

10. {Lina} donated $150 to a family in need.

2. {Sierra & her parents} donated a turkey to the homeless shelter.

3. {Sierra} donated blankets to a blanket drive in NW Portland.

4. {Anonymous} left a note and snacks in a co-worker's purse to cheer her up.

1. {Lexi} donated to Boxers 4 Beaverton at Old Navy.

2. {Meredith} donated money to help feed the homeless.

3. {Sierra} made cookies to hand out to family and friends at work.

4. {Kyle} pushed a stalled car into the YMCA parking lot. 

5. {Eva} noticed that an older gal needed assistance at a store she was in and helped her. Then accompanied her to find other items that she needed to be sure she got everything on her list.

6. {Eva} shared her coupons with a family that was in front of her at a craft store when she noticed they didn't have a coupon for something that she had a coupon for.

7. {Karen} donated her time at work to ensure that everything got done in time for their big event.

2. {Kenzie} added money to someone's parking meter that was about to expire.

3. {Tina} lent a coworker her earmuffs today for under cover recess duty.

4. {Matt} donated toys to a children's hospital.

5. {Lina} made another donation to the Salvation Army.

6. {Karen} held doors for everyone behind her throughout the day, no matter how long she had to wait.

1. {Lina} gave a homeless teen some money to buy food.

2. {Eva} cleaned up the entire break room on her lunch break (after quite a few dirty dishes were left behind) so that another department didn't have to take time out of their busy day to do it.

3. {Anonymous} knew that a couple was struggling to pay their cell phone bill and paid it for them.

4.{Kyle} gave candy canes to the ladies working at Super Cuts!

5. {Tina} gave someone very special a gift!

6. {Cheryl} gave candy cane pens to the staff at 24 hour fitness.

4. {Tina} clipped extra coupons and placed them around Winco for others to save money.


5. {Eva} bought sodas for co-workers having lunch in the employee break room today.

6. {Anonymous} adopted a child from a local radio station's Christmas drive.

7. {Lina} made a generous donation to breast cancer research.

1. {Cheryl} made a donation to St. Judes!

2. {Aubrey} donated some of her extra scarves to The Salvation Army.

3. {Jenna} left coupons next to the products in the grocery store for the next shopper!

4. {Megan} while out shopping yesterday donated to every charity when cashiers asked at check out. This is something that she ordinarily doesn't do, but decided it would create a Merry Moment.

5. {Eva} bought a gift card for the store she was at and left it at the counter for the person in line behind her to use.

6. {Chris} was running late for practice, but still took the time to help some girls carry a bunch of heavy boxes up a flight of stairs and outside.

7. {Anonymous} noticed that a stranger was having a rough day and decided to stop and talk to him. It turns out that the man lost someone that he loved recently and was indeed in need of someone listening to his story.

8. {Lina} made donations to feed a family for the month of December.

2. {Karen - see comment below} has been making merry moments all year round by helping others in need. Most recently, a mother who is sick, but about to have have a new baby.

3. {Tina} donated two meals to the Portland Rescue Mission.

Holiday Season is approaching
