Today, four local families that were behind on their home by 45 days or less and had at least five years of payments are receiving two months of their mortgages paid for by an anonymous family. A lender worked with the giving family to identify the receiving families but did not provide all the information about the families. The giving family requested good, employed families that were just struggling to make ends meet. They were all small mortgages and it ended up costing less then they had budgeted. The lender is calling the families today to inform them of the gift “from a local family that does not know them”, in hopes that it will let them enjoy the holiday season.
*Also, the lender added two names to the list and paid their November/December payments…so together, they made six families holiday a little better.
All together, the giving family went and delivered the check to the loan office.
This is truly a special moment and really represents a merry moment. Thank you so much for sharing!
7. {Kyle} gave two bags of bottles to a lady at the bottle return. She was excited about the extra cash!
8. {Nick} gave his sandwich and chip lunch to a homeless man outside of Starbucks. (via Twitter)
9. {Kayla} had a not-so-merry moment when she was babysitting a 3 year old and got locked out of the house after looking at Christmas lights. The next door neighbors graciously welcomed us into their home while they waited for a locksmith. SO, today she delivered Christmas cookies and thank you card to their home to show her appreciation. Two merry moments!
10. {Meredith} made cute Christmas cards with a nice message and filled them with metro cards for subway rides. It will be a nice surprise for someone in NYC!
11. {Mama Mahvelous - see comment} donated two dinners for a family of four to her local food bank.
12. {Eva, Jenna & Will} went to Dutch Bros. Coffee and left a full punch card for a free drink for the next person in line! Also, they gave candy canes to all the people working. :)
13. {Cheryl} bought chips and salsa for the staff at Bella Hair Salon today as a surprise!
14. {Cheryl} went to the mall and delivered a thank you card and a Starbucks gift card to an employee that went above and beyond.
